Oceans 2003: What is a tub-to-shower conversion?
Morgan Exteriors: This is a very straightforward project where we remove the home’s bathtub and replace it with a custom fitted shower base.
Oceans 2003: It sounds like you use the home’s existing space?
Morgan Exteriors: That’s exactly right. We don’t have to tear down walls or reconfigure the plumbing system.
Oceans 2003: How long does it take?
Morgan Exteriors: In most cases, we can start in the morning and have the new shower cleaned and ready to go by evening. In some cases it may take up to two days
Oceans 2003: That’s pretty impressive. What kind of homes are best suited for this type of project?
Morgan Exteriors: In our experience, this is an ideal remodeling solution for older homes with a traditional cookie-cutter 5’ x 8’ bathroom but tub-to-shower conversions are a wonderful addition to any home.

Morgan Exteriors: Not surprisingly, given our fast-paced society where few have the time to soak in the tub, bathtubs are becoming optional and, in some cases, are considered more of a liability than an asset.

Morgan Exteriors: Especially for people who have spatial issues and can’t navigate high sidewalls. Incidentally, Bath Planet of Tampa also offers no-profile, wheelchair accessible shower conversions, too.
