Philip Melugin Announces Phoenix Home Care Expanding to Kansas

After Philip Melugin graduated from Kansas’s Wichita State University with a master’s in education, he accepted a position at Conservco/Intracor as a vocational counselor, helping those who had suffered work-related injuries.

When his career took him to Missouri in the intervening years, Philip Melugin always had a special love for the state where he began his career. So when he founded Phoenix Home Care, Philip Melugin naturally included Kansas in the territory his home healthcare business would cover. While the majority of Phoenix Home Care’s clients are in Missouri, the company is further expanding its Kansas territory. Earlier this year, Phoenix Home Care opened a new office in Wichita, with the acquisition of ProActive Home Care adding 150 workers to Phoenix Home Care’s roster.

According to Philip Melugin, the Kansas service area currently only spans nine counties but plans are underway to expand further in the future. Phoenix Home Care provides in-home service to residents of these counties, Philip Melugin explains, which can be especially beneficial to patients who are mobility challenged. Phoenix Home Care also provides Consumer Directed Services to Kansas residents, allowing clients to choose their own private care attendant. These attendants can help clients with a wide variety of personal services, including transportation, housekeeping, meal preparation, and more. Clients must prove eligibility in order to be accepted.

Phoenix Home Care also serves these areas of Kansas with private duty nursing services. As Philip Melugin describes, this type of assistance focuses on children who have disabilities and special health needs. A private duty nurse can help with administering medication, drawing blood, providing IV therapy, and much more. Some clients simply need a private duty nurse to come into the home to provide a couple of hours of relief to the parents of children with special needs.

With an ever-growing population of senior citizens, Philip Melugin knows the importance of providing in-home care to this demographic segment. Phoenix Home Care helps Kansas clients with a variety of healthcare services, including Medicaid and Medicare services. Everything that Philip Melugin and the team Phoenix Home Care does reflects the company’s mission statement emphasizing responsibility, respect, excellence, empathy, potential, courage, and community.

Philip Melugin is excited about Phoenix Home Care’s success in its first year and looks forward to many more years of success as they work to further serve Kansas clients with healthcare needs. With his team committed to upholding strong moral values, says Philip Melugin, Phoenix Home Care will continue to stand out. For more information, visit phoenixhomehc.com
