Internal Balance Reports that Polluted Areas Have Higher Occurrences of Autism

January 31, 2011 By AdminR Leave a Comment

According to Internal Balance, there are compelling statistics related to autism rates and air pollution in the San Francisco Bay Area. Children born to mothers in neighborhoods with high levels of toxic particulates in the air like mercury, says Internal Balance, have a sharply increased chance of being born with autism or a disorder on the autism spectrum. Internal Balance reports that the California Department of Health Services conducted the study.

According to Internal Balance’s Tamara Mariea, the California study covered 941 children selected from six counties in the San Francisco Bay Area. Internal Balance explains that the scientists analyzed information on 19 toxic pollutants in the air. Children with autism were 50% more likely, says Internal Balance, to be born from neighborhoods with higher levels of airborne pollutants. Internal Balance also notes that a significant link was found with 5 substances–mercury, cadmium, nickel, trichloroethylene, and vinyl chloride–and increased incidences of autism. Of course science is a process producing hypothesis in order to study connections, acknowledges Internal Balance, and the link established in this study is far from concrete. However, it is worth studying and Internal Balance points out that scientists need more evidence collected over time to confirm the findings. Internal Balance is calling for more research to be done that will look for an autism link associated with these chemical pollutants in other geographic areas. In the meantime, says Internal Balance, pollution continues to accumulate in and damage the human body as well as our future generations. We can pass on our toxic burden to our children through placental transfer and breast milk, notes Internal Balance. This generational transfer of accumulated toxins is currently being documented and researched and was recently discussed in a 2010 report submitted to our US president by his cancer panel.

Internal Balance points out that this is just one more study that confirms a current theory being developed to answer the question, “Why there is so much autism?” Internal Balance says that increasing concentrations of complex chemical compounds in our air, water, food, and products cause harm to the human body. This is a basic principle and theory behind the effective therapeutic detoxification services offered by Internal Balance.
